2 years after the Tsunami
400 Tsunami affected people can now move into the Weligama Eco Village. Please see for yourself how happy they are after more than 2 years in temporary shelters.
The next step is the income generation for the villagers….

The Biodynamic Association of Australia in cooperation with Dr. Peter Proctor and Target agreed to held seminars in Sri Lanka with Sri Lankan farmers to educate them in biodynamic agriculture practices. In addition they will provide the Target farmers with BD preparations for at least 1000 compost heaps free of charge. This will be a huge step towards successful organic agriculture in the country.

Target is planning a model village with Tsunami affected resettlers. They will be provided with houses and lands suitable for cultivation of organic fruits and nuts. Target will supply in addition planting material free of charge and agrees to buy back the products. This will generate income to them as well |
